My cute kids decided to share a chair while eating today. I love them and their love for each other!

Giants Game

For Ade's birthday this year, she wanted to go to a MLB game--she had never been to one before!! So, when she chose the Giants vs. Dodgers game, of course I had to go!!! The only downside to the game was that it was moved from 1 to 5, so that it could be televised. Made for a late Sunday night!!  Thanks to mom and dad for watching the kids!!

Whitney, Ade and I before the game
Ade was very excited about cracker jacks and peanuts!!  And yes, I have an orange towel on my head!
Andrew and Ade after the game. Giants won!!!
Happy birthday, Ade!

Happy anniversary!

Tonight we had a wonderful dinner celebration for my parents' 40th wedding anniversary. They are such a wonderful example to me, and we are so thankful that dad is feeling great and able to celebrate!!!  Love you, Mom and Dad!

In line and so excited!!
It's going to be so fun to have Chloe and Ella in class together this year. Although, they are looking kinda shy here!

Happy Labor Day!

Andrew wanted to do something fun as a family today, so off to the zoo we went! There were lots of people there today, and we were thankful for our membership entrance, so we didn't have to wait in the long line!!!
The kids had fun watching the chimpanzees play, and we ate lunch near their enclosure. So, in this picture, that is why Micah has a funny expression--he is chewing!!
her favorite pose
Micah was soooo excited to see a "worker man" loading trash onto the back of this truck, and Micah wanted to "drive." We were surprised when the man said yes!!  Definitely a highlight of the day!
"jumping, jumping, jumping!!!"
Riding the train--the wait was much longer than the ride, but the kids enjoyed it!

Chloe took this picture of us
And then I helped Micah take this one!
The only picture I took of an animal--I thought this red panda looked so cute sleeping!
Cute kangaroos!!

Bye Bye Bapi!

Now that Micah is two and all his baby teeth (well, except for molars) have come in, we decided it was time to take away the pacifier (bapi, as Micah calls it!).  Because it worked pretty well when we did it this way for Chloe, we cut the tip of the pacifiers off, and then let him discover that they were broken.  He was a bit obsessed with the pacifiers, and slept with one in his mouth, one in his hand, and three in a plastic tub next to his pillow. So, I cut all of them and put them back in the tub.  He reached in, grabbed one, and stuck it in his mouth. He said, "uh oh," and picked out another and another. He asked Andrew to fix them, and then said, "show Mommy."  He and Andrew brought me the broken pacifiers, and I talked with Micah about how they were broken. He then went to bed with just a stuffed animal and minimal crying. It was so easy!!
