Go Giants!

On Saturday, we took Chloe to her first baseball game. As you can see in the picture, Andrew is an A's fan and I am a Giants fan, so we try to go the the battle of the bay games when we can. It was overcast but pretty warm and Chloe did such a great job! She is staying loyal to her mom and was supporting the Giants at the game. It is hard to see in the pictures, but her outfit says "Giants" all over it and her pacifier string was Giants as well. Thanks to my friends at Sylvan for the great Giants gear. Andrew still has hopes that she will become an A's fan! She might have been convinced during the game, because the Giants did not play very well and the A's won--she says she likes winners!!
Chloe was trying to fit in with the ghetto crowd in Oakland with her beanie riding low.....She was looking so cute with her dad at the game that an A's photographer took their picture and posted it in the fans gallery on the A's website. Click here for the link to the photo:

Happy Easter!

We had a fun Easter! After church, there was an Easter egg hunt for all the kids, and they had stuffed animals for all the babies. This is the one that Chloe picked out!
This is Chloe and me before church. We wanted to make sure to get a photo of the two of us while we were spit up-free. Chloe actually did a really good job and kept her dress clean until mid-afternoon! She had a tight grip on her bunny!
Andrew, Chloe, and me after the Easter egg hunt. Chloe (with dad's help) chose the orange egg that Andrew is holding and she was generous and shared the pretzels that were inside.
After church, we went to Grandma Elaine's house for a yummy dinner and the cousins had fun playing together. We tried to get a picture of all the cousins (L-R: Ella, Eben, Devin, Shaelyn, Chloe), and this one was my favorite! I love the expression on Chloe's face. Don't worry, we rescued her right after this picture was taken! Thanks Elaine for the cute Easter dress Chloe is wearing.

Where's Chloe?
Chloe received so many bunny rabbit stuffed animals that we decided to have her pose with them! She let us snap a few quick pictures and then threw all the animals off of her.

Rolling over!!

The title says it all. Chloe learned how to roll from her tummy to her back! She did this awesome feat for Andrew last Wednesday night and I missed it. I was so sad and we have been trying to get her to roll since then. Finally, last night, she did it--six times in a row! In the picture below, you will see my hand keeping her on her stomach so we could get a picture of her in this position, because now when we put her on her side, she immediately rolls onto her back. I guess this is the end of tummy-time! I did notice that she rolls to the left--maybe she'll be a lefty like me? Chloe is mid-roll....
and she's over!!
Below, Chloe is celebrating with me on her many successful rolls!
(thanks mom for my new pj's!)
This is a random picture from the week that we thought was really cute, so I had to post it!
In other news, Andrew and I both came down with the flu this past weekend. It hit me Friday night and Andrew after working at the air show on Saturday night. Thankfully, Grandma Elaine was free on Saturday and took Chloe off my hands so I could try to sleep and get better. Sunday was a bit rocky for both Andrew and me, but we seem to be doing ok today. We just hope that Chloe won't get it. Spit up is bad enough to deal with!

Celebrate!

This has been such a great week! Ever since Chloe was a week old, she has been sleeping in her swing for all naps and nightime sleeping. We found that if she slept in her crib, she would wake up frequently and was not able to fall back asleep on her own. We had been afraid to try to switch her to the crib, because we value our sleep and were not ready to have a few nights of crying and no sleep to get her acclimated to her crib. Anyway, yesterday, Chloe took a nap in her crib at Grandma Elaine's house! This gave us the confidence to try her in her crib. And guess what? She slept for nine hours straight in her crib! We were amazed when we woke up at 7:00 this morning and realized that she had slept all night! She then took a three hour nap in her crib a few hours later. We are so proud of her! Here is a picture of her sleeping in her crib! She does not like lying on the wedge, so we use it to keep her feeling snuggled up close. We are also excited about the birth of our new neice--Ella. She was born a week ago and is such a great baby! The picture below was from Chloe and Ella's first play date. I am sure there will be many more to come! It is going to be so fun to watch the girls grow up together, as they are only two months apart in age. Chloe looks like she is doing a little dance in this picture! The other big news that we are thrilled about is that we finally found a home to purchase! We have been looking for over 6 months and finally found a house that we love! We are currently in escrow and will hopfully move in May. We will keep you posted as we go through all the hoops of home buying. In the picture, you will see the huge redwood tree in the front yard. It is so close to the house that we are nervous it will cause damage. Once we are the owners of this beautiful house, we are planning to have the tree removed. Know anyone who wants to buy a redwood tree?

2 month checkup

Chloe had her 2 month doctor's appointment yesterday. Here are her new stats: 87th percentile for length and 75th percentile for weight. She is 23.5 inches long and weighs around 12 pounds. She kept moving around while she was on the scale, so it was hard to get an accurate reading. The doctor told us that they want the wieght percentile to be less than the height, so even though Chloe seems like a chunker who eats all the time, she is doing ok! At the end of the appontment, the doctor told us that she needed to get shots. Even though I had friends before the appointment telling me good luck, I did not know that she was going to get shots! And of course Andrew had to go back to work, so I had to be brave on my own! I ran down to the pharmacy to buy baby Tylenol (they recommend giving a dose to the babies before the shots). The waiting room was full, so I was expecting to have to wait for a few hours, but after 45 minutes, the nurse called us in. Chloe got some drops and 3 shots in her thighs. She was very brave and only cried for about a minute. I was proud of myself because I did not cry! Chloe was tired and fussy for the rest of yesterday and surprised us by sleeping through the night last night! 13 hours of sleeping! She still sleeps in her swing and we know that we are going to have a rough time breaking her of it, but it is wonderful to be able to sleep through the night with a 2 month old! I did take pictures of Chloe's appointment, but I cannot figure out how to get the pictures off my new camera. I will have to have Andrew help me later! (Andrew to the rescue... photo is now up as you can see!!)
