Happy (2 1/4) birthday!!

This year for Chloe's birthday, we decided to have a combined birthday party with Chloe's cousin, Devin. He will turn 3 next week, and Chloe has gotten over her fear of presents after all the craziness at Christmas, so it was time to celebrate! We had their party at Fliptastic, where Chloe, Devin, and Shae all go to gymnastics. It was a fantastic party! I loved that the staff did most of the work, so I was able to play and take pictures and enjoy the party.

St. Patrick's Day

Here are some cute pictures from this morning of my little poser.....She was dressed in green and ready to go to our mom's group!

Folsom Zoo

Chloe and I met our friends Dean, Emelyn, and Delaney at the Folsom Zoo Sanctuary on this beautiful February day. As we were walking up to the zoo, we noticed the train off to the side. It is only $2 a person to ride the train, so we quickly bought tickets and climbed aboard! The train engineer is also a professional photographer and took these pictures of us on the train. I am so embarrassed that Chloe has chocolate milk stains on her shirt! Before heading to the zoo, we had a meeting with one of my students at Starbucks, and Chloe spilled all over herself! I wish I knew how to photoshop the stains out!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Chloe and Andrew surprised me this card and flowers after they went to the park on Sunday afternoon. Chloe picked out both of them for me--although she had a hard time giving me the Mickey card, because she loves Mickey so much! Chloe told Andrew to write "Mom Mom" on the envelope for the card. Chloe started calling me that earlier in the week--I think it is so cute! Now she switches between Mom Mom, Mama, and Mommy.

Mickey Mouse

Chloe loves Mickey Mouse. She wants to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse all the time, and has started pointing out Mickey whenever she sees him in books, cards, stores, etc. Lately, Chloe has started saying, "I make Mickey," and creating him using 3 circles. She did it the first time at gymnastics with colored circle mats, then with the lids in her play kitchen, and with some coins Andrew gave her to put in her piggy bank...

Bye Bye Paci

We decided that it was time to break Chloe of her pacifier addiction. It was getting to the point that she wanted it all the time, crying and begging for it. I had heard that one way to make the break was to cut the paci, so that it was no longer comforting for her to suck on it. So that is what we did....When I gave Chloe her paci like this, she said, "It's broken." She was upset for about 10 minutes, and then slept through the night no problem. The next day, she was asking for her paci, but I kept reminding her that paci was broken. She was pretty cranky all day and naptime was a 2 hour scream-fest. By the third day, Chloe seemed to have forgotten all about her paci! Woo hoo!!!
